"Fruits of Labor's Nationally Certified Farm-to-Table Culinary and Agricultural Training Program" Fruits of Labor offers a very special American Culinary Federation Certified Quality Culinary and Agricultural Program working with adults across the state of West Virginia that are recovering from addiction and at risk youth/young adult program as an addiction prevention program. Students are with us from 8 weeks to 2 or more years at Fruits of Labor's Café and Bakery in Rainelle, WV, our Agricultural Center in Spring Dale, WV, and our Retail Bakery and Market at Dawson, WV. Our customers know that supporting Fruits of Labor means far more than buying fresh produce, bread and bakery products, or a delicious meal – it is a personal, tangible investment in the growth and nurturing of people in their own community and across the state who demonstrate the daily courage it takes to overcome addiction. Our various programs already see significant results in the recovery and healing of our students, with many firmly prepared to reenter the workforce upon completion of our program. With drug addiction plaguing much of the state of West Virginia, we hope to inspire businesses and residents in our community to learn how they can play an active role in community healing – to become part of the solution by banding together and supporting businesses that support addiction prevention efforts in youth and young adults as well as the recovery and healing of our friends and neighbors. Please contact us to see how you can volunteer or support this program that is offered free-of-charge to students. Photography by Steve Brightwell.
